Originally from the East Coast, I received my formal education at McGill University in Montreal, QC in Canada.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. As a social worker, I am passionate about social welfare and justice issues and its impact on community and individual mental health.
I have been practicing therapy since 2004, and have always intentionally worked with children, teens and adults to better inform my narrative therapy regarding how clinical issues can vary across the lifespan, and because I truly enjoy working with people of all ages.
I have worked in both outpatient treatment and residential treatment centers and have been in private practice in South Austin since 2012. I love working with all types of clients (ages 2 and up), but I spend a lot of time working with children in the foster-care system, and thus have extensive experience working with issues of trauma and attachment.
I strive to be as warm, nurturing, patient, curious, playful, and non-judgmental as possible. I am not easily offended, and I tend to speak rather bluntly.
I am currently offering services in-person and virtually, and I take most major insurances (please see the drop-down insurance selection in the “Contact Me” section of this website).
